Unemployed in America

As of March 4th 2016 the official number of unemployed is 4.9%. That is the number progressive liberals and Democrats try to hang their hat on as an Obama success. Now of course most people by now know that the government only counts people as unemployed who are currently receiving unemployment insurance benefits and the reason they use percentage points rather than true numbers is to deceive you.

Have you ever wondered exactly how many people 4.9% actually means? According to The Bureau of Labor Statistics at the U.S. Department of Labor the actual number of people who are counted as unemployed is 7.8 million. Now compare that 7.8 million to the 90 million people in America who are not receiving unemployed benefits and have completely given up looking for work and suddenly 4.9% doesn’t look so good does it. The real number of unemployed in America is somewhere around 98 to 100 million (it looks like this 100,000,000) people.

To put the unemployment rate into perspective if we compare the governments numbers to just the population of New York City, almost the entire city of New York would be unemployed. In fact if we look at the real unemployment numbers the populations of New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. combined wouldn’t even come close to the real number. In fact even if we rounded up to the nearest million we would only have 23 million people out of the 98 million or more unemployed in America which means at best we’d have 75 million people unaccounted for in this example.

But it is much worse than even my example laid out. Even the entire population of California (37 million), New York State (19 million), Illinois (13 million)  and Texas (25 million) doesn’t even come close to the amount of people in America who are jobless. That’s 4 of the biggest states in the nation. If all of the people in America who were unemployed were concentrated in one place it would be pitchforks and torches.

Only a Democrat could look at these numbers and consider Obamas stewardship as president as a success economically. Only the media could make the claim that these United States are in an upward climb economically. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is that Americas economy is in the shitter and it has been for more than 8 years now. In fact taking into account the effects of 9/11 and the last year of the Clinton administration and Americas economy has been in the shitter for more the 16 years.

No young adult today has ever know anything in their entire lives other than America having a bad economy, not a one. Let that sink in for a minute. The Snowflake generation has never known a good economy ever.

Is it any wonder why people who have lived through decent economic times think that young people have their heads up their asses? The truth is, they just don’t know any better.

  1. Another 260,000(+) jobs lost. New unemployment claims.
4.9% that’s a joke. It’s also about the number of Mexicans in country illegally. 7 million(+/-) the ones that work farm labor. Produce for the table is almost all harvested by hand. Unbelievably hard work

    1. “Unbelievably hard work?” I’d done work that is a lot harder than picking produce. Try being a masons tender for a while in the middle of summer in Florida. You have to cover cloth gloves with duct tape so the concrete blocks don’t sand the skin off your fingers.
